Timelapse of the Day – January 28, 2013

One of the greatest things I love about timelapse is how people from all around the world are using it to create beautiful videos that can help people connect with one another.  This video is a great example of that.  I also like how the timelapse photographer used the low frame rate to such great effect.  Normally when you see a low frame rate in timelapse it is because there isn’t enough footage in a clip for it to be played back at 30fps.  But I suspect that wasn’t the case in this great film.  Even if it was, the consistent use of the technique and the inter-cutting with still photos and other video all worked together to create a wonderful piece of work.
