Dark Cloud : White Light
Timelapse of the Day – February 22, 2013
You’ll want to watch this one full screen with the music turned up a bit. There’s something very powerful about it, and the way Joseph Michael puts the whole piece together. Joseph Michael is a a new media artist, film technician and photographer based in Auckland, New Zealand. Be sure to visit Joseph’s site at joemichael.net
Note that this timelapse has been selected for the Innovations section of the site because of the way Joseph used editing to create such a powerful visual composition. Those timelapse which are selected as Innovations become eligible for the Timelapse of the Year award at the end of the year in which they are first published.
Joseph Michael writes:
Dark Cloud : White Light is the title of the Media Arts exhibition that I am currently producing.
I brave the elements to film for periods of 24hrs or more to create an experience of audio and visual splendor, revealing the hidden wonders of the New Zealand landscape. An epic visual story of space and time, told in three-dimensional, time-lapse cinematography.
